11 Years of In/Words, Pt. 3

From: rescue poems by jesslyn delia smith (In/Words, 2011)

even when i want.

even when i want
to i can’t keep
it up like
you do, it’s so cold,
shadows touch
here where the lamp
light ends before
my toes,  i close
my eyes in
stead against the sun
